You must have GCSE level or equivalent, spoken and written English.
You must have experience of working or being with very young children AND importantly, this role is to give specific Special Educational Needs (SEND), targeted support.
Fixed Term contract: January 2026 to July 31st 2027 (subject to probationary period)
Start date: January 2026.
- We are looking for a caring, motivated and responsible Teaching Assistant to join our experienced Nursery School team.
- You will be working to give specific targeted support for complex SEN. Therefore, this is an energetic and active role. You will be expected to lift and support with physical movement and follow individualised targets provided by various health practitioners. Appropriate training will be given.
- The nursery has a strong ethos of inclusion and a tradition of valuing all children and their individual interests.
The successful candidate will have,
- A high expectation of all children’s learning and development and a strong commitment to teamwork.
- Experience of working with children under 5 years old AND specifically experience of working with children with SEND, including those with complex needs.
- A professional and warm approach in their interactions with children, families and staff.
- A positive and enquiring attitude to their own professional development.
